Parent company VSP Vision announced Thursday morning that they had promoted Thomas Burkhardt to President of Marchon Eyewear. Burkhardt has worked at Marchon for over six years, where he was most recently the eyewear company’s Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of global brands, marketing, and design.

Marchon is one of the world’s biggest producers and suppliers of eyeglasses and sunglasses. The business markets its goods under well-known brands such as Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld, Lacoste, Longchamp, MCM, Nautica, Nike, Salvatore Ferragamo, Victoria Beckham, and more. They are based in Melville, New York, and have a global reach with their manufacturing plant in Puos d’Alpago, Italy, and regional headquarters in Amsterdam and Hong Kong.

Burkhardt will now report to the Chief Operating Officer of VSP Vision, Earnie Franklin, who’s expressed his excitement about Burkhardt’s promotion, “Since joining Marchon in 2016, he has provided strategic focus, leading to record growth. Thomas is the right leader to ensure continued success for the organization both in the U.S. and internationally.”

VSP Vision and Marchon Eyewear announced the news via press releases on their respective websites. Burkhardt took to LinkedIn to share news of his promotion and to announce his new position.
