Defending champs play on the road to start the season.
On Thursday, the Premier League released the official 2022-2023 season schedule, highlighted by their opening week matchups.

The season begins on August 5th, where Crystal Palace kicks off the year versus Arsenal, followed by Fulham taking on title favorites in Liverpool, and, most notably, the defending champs Manchester City go on the road to face West Ham United.
The first block of the season has many big-time matchups, such as the October matchup between Manchester City and Liverpool, where the defending champs will presumably have their biggest test, competing against title favorites and Champions League finalist in Liverpool.

The season will take place from August to May of next year.
