The NBA investigate information regarding veteran guard Rajon Rondo following allegations of domestic violence.
According to reports, the woman expressed that Rondo, armed, threatened her after a dispute regarding her kids. Citing a history of “volatile, erratic (and) explosive behavior”, she filed a an emergency protective order for herself and her children last week.
The courts had since ruled in favor of the family, ordering the 4x All-Star to remain 500 feet away from them, as well as surrender any firearms to the Jefferson County in Louisville, where the star hails from.
Mike Bass, released a statement in response to the initial report, stating:
“We are aware of the report and are in the process of gathering more information.”
Despite the order, the 36-year-old has yet to be criminally charged with anything relative to the situation “at this time”.
Rondo is a 16-year veteran, winning 2 titles in that time (Boston Celtics in 2008 and the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020).
The point guard played a reserve role for the Cleveland Cavaliers this year, a team that sported a 44-38 record; their best mark since 2018.
