After 5 months of their partnership, US Open champ and world #11 ranked Emma Raducanu parts ties with coach Torben Beltz.
The reigning US Open Champ compiled a 5-7 record with Beltz this season, after her triumphant run this past year.
With the intent to see a rise that mirrored Angelique Kerber’s under Beltz, the 19-year-old star expressed in a statement a need for a “new training model” ahead of the Madrid Open.
Raducanu thanked Beltz for his coaching, citing his “professionalism and dedication” during their time together. The LTA’s head of women’s coaching Iain Bates will work with Raducanu in Madrid this week, as the draw for the WTA 1000 tournament begins on Thursday.
As her coach status is in the interim, Raducanu will be on the lookout for her fourth permanent head coach since she turned pro in 2018.
