In wake of Liverpool’s chase for the illustrious quadruple, it was announced today that manager Jurgen Klopp has signed a contract extension.
The new contract will take him through 2026, after implications, as recent as March, that he would take a sabbatical from the club after his initial contract expires in 2024.
The 54-year-old joined Liverpool back in 2015, coaching them to a franchise-best 61% win percentage en route to five titles since joining the club.
After Tuesday’s 2-0 victory over Villareal, Klopp and the Liverpool team are currently eight games away from winning the Champions League crown, notching the English quadruple, and winning all four trophies in-season.
