As the aftermath of the Omicron variant has taken its course, the world has slowly but surely gone back to post-COVID normalcy.
And in kind, the world of Football has followed suit.
Following a host of cancellations and heightened precautions, it was announced that the Premier League is removing emergency COVID protocols as of tomorrow.
The emergency measures that were originally implemented at the outset of COVID-19 were reintroduced back in December during the rise of the Omicron.
Due to the variant’s rapid spread, and the many outbreaks within different clubs, it led to the increase of player and staff testing, as well as mandatory indoor face coverings, and limited rehab.
With the issues speculated to run its course, the league looks toward next month, in which the league will try to continue to lessen protocols.
