Mere hours after Watford manager Claudio Ranieri was dismissed from his position, the club found a new manager, England boss Roy Hodgson.
The veteran will overtake the position, succeeding Raneri, following the Italian’s 4-month tenure, which saw the club score only 7 goals in 13 games.
Hodgson took a year hiatus since leaving Crystal Palace. Despite him leaving the team, he hadn’t ruled out a return.
Despite the uneventful tenure with the team, the Englishman guided them to 11th in the table. Since, the team had finished 12th, 14th, and 14th in subsequent seasons.
Hodgson, 74, will stand as the oldest manager in the Premier League.
