England bowls for their lowest total in over 100 years, ninth-lowest versus Australia in their latest Ashes test, going down 0-3.
The third day of the third test saw Australia continue their winning ways by beating England by innings and 14 runs, taking a 3-0 lead in the tourney.
England was bowled out for 68 inside 81 minutes, as Scott Boland took an astonishing 6-7.
The 68 runs were their lowest total in Australia since March 1904.
The teams’ performance has drawn much criticism from pundits throughout the cricket world, drawing comparisons to the England team that met the same demise back in 2017.
It has also drawn some speculation with multi-format head coach Chris Silverwood’s future with the team. Silverwood, who stood by his lineup choices following their last test loss, downplayed the state of his role on the team. Insisted his job security isn’t a top priority, he stated: “We have to do is look forward to the next two Tests, stay positive if we can, and make sure we are there, we compete and we take something from this tour.”
The start of the next test takes place on January 4th, where England looks to rebound from a daunting 0-3 deficit.
